Synopsis

In the very first episode, a mystical stone egg atop the Mountain of Flowers and Fruit (Huaguo Shan) shatters, giving birth to a Stone Monkey unlike any other. His birth is so powerful that golden beams of light from his eyes pierce the clouds, startling the Jade Emperor and the gods in the Celestial Court. Watch as this newborn spirit explores the wild, living among the monkeys until he encounters a challenge that will change his fate forever: a massive, thundering waterfall. While others shrink back in fear, the Stone Monkey leaps through the wall of water to discover the hidden paradise of the Water Curtain Cave (Shui Lian Dong). By leading his tribe to this secret sanctuary, he earns his title and is crowned the Handsome Monkey King (Mei Hou Wang). The journey has just begun.
